- Bulky item and special collections
- Weed abatement, tree trimming and landscaping
- Paper sign and handbill removal

BID patrol & safety.
The Highland Park BID Patrol works to prevent, deter and report illegal activity on the district’s streets, sidewalks, storefronts, parking lots and alleys — and stays in contact with LAPD and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers keep a high-visibility presence at busy commercial locations and address trespassing, loitering and quality-of-life issues early, resolving most situations through presence and conversation. LAPD is called in when escalation or official authority is needed.
Checking in with local businesses

How you can help.
Keep trash out of street cans
Sidewalk receptacles are for pedestrians only — please don’t place business trash in them.
Sweep your storefront
Crews sweep the sidewalks, but not private property. A quick sweep goes a long way.
Refresh your windows
Keep windows and awnings clean, and take down old, torn or faded signs and banners.
Post your hours
Store hours in the window help visitors — and help patrols spot anything unusual.
Handle bulky items
Property owners are responsible for removing their own bulky items.
